【加拿大都市网】第一批莫德纳新冠疫苗运抵加拿大，育空地区和西北地区优先接种。
昨日（12月28日）晚间，加拿大卫生部长Patty Hajdu发表推文称，第一批疫苗将于本周分发到各省和地区，育空地区和西北地区是优先考虑的地区。这是对偏远和北部社区的好消息。

西北地区卫生部长Julie Green表示7200剂疫苗被保存在了黄刀的Stanton Territorial医院，这是为了确保疫苗的稳定性和质量。

育空地区卫生和社会服务部部长Pauline Frost也表示，疫苗的到来是“育空地区抗击COVID-19的一个转折点，是结束2020年的积极方式。”
她说:“我可以向育空人保证，我们准备很快开始推广疫苗。一个由专门的卫生专业人员组成的团队正在接受关于如何安全储存、处理和提供疫苗的培训。这次培训将确保他们能够安全地为符合条件的育空人接种疫苗。”
Forest指出，首批疫苗将于下周开始接种，目前已收到7200剂疫苗。
12月初，辉瑞公司的第一批疫苗抵达加拿大，1月份将有50万剂疫苗抵达。
加拿大已与包括辉瑞在内的7家疫苗制造商达成协议，将采购至多1.94亿剂COVID-19疫苗。如果仍有需要，卫生官员有权再购买2.2亿剂疫苗。
