【加拿大都市網】據CP24報道，多倫多副市長Michael Thompson被控兩項性侵犯指控。
多倫多市長庄德利(John Tory)在周四晚間發表的一份聲明中說，這位長期擔任市議員的議員受到了安省省警的指控，並已辭職。
Thompson在多個委員會和董事會任職，包括多倫多經濟和社區發展委員會和執行委員會。
長期擔任多倫多議員的Michael Thompson的律師告訴CP24，他被指控與性侵調查有關。
Thompson的代理律師卡爾文·巴里表示，所謂的事件發生在2022年7月的Muskoka。
巴里說，Thompson將「積極」抗辯，並補充說，這些指控是由兩名女性提出的。
面臨兩項性侵犯指控的Thompson將於11月1日出庭。
庄德利表示「我非常嚴肅地對待針對任何人的性侵犯指控和指控。」
「這名議員面臨這些指控，他繼續擔任副市長或市議會常務委員會主席就並不合適了。他（Thompson）已經同意將立即辭去這些職位。」
Thompson的最後一次公開露面是昨天在內森菲利普斯廣場，為紀念土著語言的多倫多標誌新包裝揭幕。

庄德利表示，他不會做任何進一步的評論，因為這將「通過法院」。
Daily Hive向Thompson尋求評論，但尚未得到回應。
警方還沒有發佈任何關於此案的信息。
據悉，Thompson正在士嘉堡中心21區尋求連任。
