目前在Twitter上有大量关于TTC乘客和司机不戴口罩的投诉。人们抱怨搭乘公交本来就有被感染的风险，又有那么多人不戴口罩，安全完全没法得到保障。

有人抱怨说，公交车上很多人把口罩摘掉喝咖啡。还有人称，看到一个不戴口罩的女子在地铁上吃肉丸子，这时旁边另一个不戴口罩的人打了个喷嚏，然后女子就尖叫着指责对方为什么不戴口罩。
TTC对乘客的抱怨回应称，一些乘客坚称有不戴口罩的豁免权，所以没法强制要求戴口罩。
TTC 声称正在采取额外措施“以确保使用我们交通系统的每个人的安全，以帮助减少 COVID-19 的传播。TTC 强制要求戴口罩，所有员工工作期间在公交系统上都必须戴口罩。”
So when is the TTC going to enforce mask wearing and go back to sanitizing their vehicles? Cause their only precaution right now is drivers must be vaxxed and the windows on buses are to be left open. Which isn’t even the bare minimum they could do.

不过就有人指出，当有不戴口罩的乘客上车时，司机不仅不要求其戴口罩，还向对方问候“圣诞快乐”。
