律师行代表600万加拿大人向Capital One提出集体诉讼

温哥华一间律师行代表600万名加拿大人，已向个人资料外泄的金融机构Capital One财务集团(Capital One Financial Corp.)提出集体诉讼。

据加拿大电视台(CTV)报道，Charney Lawyers律师行的律师查利(Ted Charney)表示，Capital One的数据外泄可能会带来极为严重的后果。

除信用卡申请数据，包括电话号码、电邮地址、出生日期、自行填报的入息之外，黑客(Hacker)更能取得申请人的信贷分数、信贷额、欠款和2016年、2017年及2018年共23日的信贷交易资料。
客户身份或遭盗用

查利称，有关的账户资料高度敏感，如落入犯罪份子手中，可能会用作身份盗用或令受害人的信贷声誉受损。

报道指出，黑客自今年3月开始拥有这些数据，但目前仍未清楚黑客已售出、或在网上分发了多少资料。

加拿大私隐专员办公室(The Office of the Privacy Commissioner)表示，正调查最近涉及黑客的事故，包括于未获授权下，有100万个国民的社会保险号码(social insurance numbers)资料遭人阅取等。
