温市豪华四家酒店员工，因超量工作、薪水和性骚扰等问题投票决定罢工，工会表示支持，但具体安排尚未公布。
据CTV新闻报道，工会Unite Here Local 40称，乔治亚酒店(Rosewood Hotel Georgia)的员工于8月7日投票支持罢工，同一天，乔治亚酒店几位现任和前任的工作人员向卑诗人权审裁处（BC Human Rights Tribunal）提出申诉称，他们曾遭到一些知名客人和经理的性骚扰。
工会表示，凯悦酒店（Hyatt Regency Hotel）、西斯廷酒店（Westin Bayshore）和Pinnacle酒店89％的员工，上周也投票赞成罢工。
乔治亚酒店大约84％的工作人员投票赞成罢工，工会表示该酒店于周四发布了停工通知，并称乔治亚酒店的停工将是「前所未有的」。
工会表示，这4家酒店「未能与其工作人员达成合理的工资合同和足够的工作时间，以维持员工的家庭生活开支」。
工会在一份声明中认为，安全也是一个很重要的问题，因为繁重的工作量会给工人造成伤害，而且最近有几位女性在工作中遭到性骚扰和性侵行为。综合报道
