【星島綜合報道】加拿大資深新聞主播Lloyd Robertson於周二（4日）晚病逝，終年92歲，家人已向加通社證實消息。
Robertson於1952年在安省Stratford家鄉電台展開新聞工作，1956年加入CBC電視新聞，1976年轉投CTV，1984年起擔任《CTV National News》首席主播兼高級編輯，直至2011年退休，主持晚間新聞長達35年。
他曾報道柏林圍牆倒下、九一一恐怖襲擊等多宗重大國際新聞，退休後繼續主持時事節目《W5》，至2016年正式離開幕前。
Robertson以結尾名句「And that’s the kind of day it’s been」深入民心，並於1998年獲頒加拿大勳章。
貝爾傳媒新聞部副總裁形容，Robertson為CTV新聞留下「不可磨滅的印記」。
接替他出任首席主播的Lisa LaFlamme亦在社交平台發文悼念，形容他是自己的良師益友。總理卡尼亦發文致哀。
