【星島綜合報道】安省小鎮歌連活（Collingwood）近日出現一位意想不到的「訪客」，一頭駝鹿被當地省警幽默地取名為「Elliot Moose」，周二（22日）早上現身市內多處，由海濱步道遊盪至附近街道，成為城中話題。
安省省警（OPP）提醒市民，雖然這位不速之客甚為吸引眼球，但最好從安全距離欣賞。警方呼籲市民提高警覺，若遇上駝鹿請格外小心，並遵守以下建議，帶狗外出時須全程使用狗繩；切勿靠近或喂飼動物；與動物保持足夠的安全距離。
警方指出，駝鹿屬野生動物，行為難以預測，尤其在感到受威脅時更可能作出突發反應。當局呼籲市民若與Elliot Moose相遇，應主動讓路，讓牠自由通過，不要騷擾牠，如此方能確保居民、寵物及Elliot本身的安全。
