任人取用的personal data
Personal data是個人信息。姓名、性別、年齡、住址、電話號碼，身份證號碼、護照和回鄉證號碼等，都是重要的personal data，讓不法之徒得到，就可以做很多傷害人的事，例如用偷回來的資料申請信用卡，大肆花費，當然不會找數，受害人就算可以證明是因為identity theft（身份被盜竊），善後也十分費神。
我們的個人資料，很多已被上載到包括政府機構、銀行、學校、商業機構等的電腦系統。就是出外旅遊住酒店，也須提供很多個人資料。
提供個人資料不是今天才發生的事，但以往資料記錄於實體檔桉中，要大量的偷和抄不是那麼容易，但IT世代，一切都改變了。
防盜系統不可靠
有人認為，機構的電腦資料庫一定有周密的防盜系統，資料不會被偷。但有關資料泄漏的新聞卻接二連三的來，令人懷疑機構保障你的personal data，就算有心都可能無力。
Reuters（路透社）報道：
Marriott International said hackers stole about 500 million records from its Starwood Hotels reservation system in an attack that began four years ago, exposing personal data of customers including some payment card numbers.
著名的國際酒店集團，年中招呼的顧客不計其數。Reservation是訂房，reservation system則是訂房的系統，內里儲存的客戶資料多得難以估計，而發現被盜的資料檔桉，並不是以千、萬或甚至以百萬計，而是有5億個。
Hacker是黑客，非法進入人家電腦系統的竊匪。被hackers偷走的customer personal data包括︰”passport details, phone numbers and email addresses. For some others, it could include credit card information”。資料不斷被盜達四年之久，酒店到九月才發現，最近才公開，保障有多周全，大家可以自行判斷。
特首信貸網上看
就算沒有hackers，有些個人資料任何人在網上有點耐性做點research都可以找到，包括特首林鄭月娥的信貸記錄。《英文虎報》最近的報道：
A noted credit reporting（信用報告）agency has suspended all online credit report services, after a journalist managed to obtain the credit report of Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor from the company by inputting personal details available online.
Noted解well-known、famous，例如︰The school is noted for its art program.（這學校以藝術課程聞名。）”Noted credit reporting agency”就是着名的信用報告公司。
報道又說：
However, it was found that the service has a surprisingly（驚奇地） low security protection and anyone can easily check the detailed（詳盡的） credit report of another person just by inputting his HKID number and some simple personal information.
記者找到特首的身份證號碼輸入查詢網站，資料就和盤託出，簡單得很，提供的敏感個人資料包括”phone number, address, loan and overdue payment histories”（電話號碼、地址、債務細節，還有過期還錢的記錄等）。怎不令人心寒？
