具有争议的温哥华活跃分子汉密尔顿(Jamie Lee Hamilton)周一早上在善终中心去世，享年64岁。她生前曾积极为温哥华性工作者、原住民以及温市东端无家可归者等争取权益。

汉密尔顿曾在1990年代参选温哥华市议员，她也是加拿大参加选举的第一个公开变性人。她最近曾经中风，经过与癌症的长期斗争后，在善终中心去世。
