史考特(Randy Scott)此前在社交媒体上贴出一张照片，显示他在阿拉斯加高速公路上喂一只熊吃Timbits，结果被卑诗省动物保护服务处官员盯上了，根据违反《野生动物法》，他被罚款2,000元外，还被命令6个月内不得靠近熊50米之内。法案称，一个人不得故意喂养或试图喂养野生动物，或故意将食物留在某处以吸引野生动物为目的。
