已故歌手猫王皮礼士利（Elvis Presley）太太Priscilla Presley昨被指退出信奉40年的科学教，知情者表示她受够了。她于1977年猫王死后，找尊达拉华特（John Travolta）安慰而接触科学教。

她女儿Lisa Marie都在科学教下成长，但Lisa于2014年宣布退出科学教，当时Lisa表示︰“我开始慢慢地自残，他们夺取我的灵魂、金钱和所有东西。”有指加入科学教的人会先被问大量私人问题，包括性的话题。
