由於發現可疑包裹 ，溫哥華市中心海旁站（Waterfront Station）周六傍晚封閉了約90分鐘，運輸警隊稱其後得悉包裹並不構成威脅，將車站解封，天車 服務也回復正常。
運輸聯網(TransLink)在周六下午5時前於各車站發出通知，稱海旁站因「警務事故」(police incident)而封閉。隨後負責調查的運輸警隊(Transit Police)稱，可疑包裹是在一列天車車廂內發現，但沒有公布其他資料。
運輸警隊發言人漢普頓（Clint Hampton）以電郵回復CTV時表示，約在晚上6時發現可疑包裹。至6時50分，運輸警隊在溫哥華警方緊急應變部隊的協助下，確認包裹沒有構成威脅。
運輸聯網稱由於運輸警隊進行調查，故此將海旁站封閉，所有天車都不會由該站開出。在封閉期間，曾調派巴士協助乘客。
在海旁站封閉時，世博線(Expo Line)天車只到體育館-華埠車站(Stadium-Chinatown Station)，但有接駁巴士將乘客接到布拉德站（Burrard Station）；加拿大線(Canada Line)往北只到溫哥華市中心站(Vancouver City Centre Station)。來往海旁站和北溫朗斯代爾碼頭（Lonsdale Quay）之間的海上巴士，在海旁站封閉期間也暫停服務。綜合報道
