一歲小貓「火雞」(Turkey)

卑詩愛護動物協會(SPCA)早前接收一隻於本拿比山(Burnaby Mountain)發現的小貓(圖)。牠有醫療的需要，協會周四呼籲公眾慷慨解囊，幫助支付醫療的成本。

SPCA本拿比分處經理麥貝恩(Nicole McBain)表示，職員已為這隻只有一歲的小貓命名為「火雞」(Turkey)。她稱，有市民在一個箱內發現牠後通知SPCA，但未知牠在箱內有多久時間，當職員接觸「火雞」時，牠非常驚恐。

麥貝恩指出，「火雞」現時體重不足，並需由專業牙醫為牠進行口腔手術，日後才能為牠尋找新主人。

有關的手術、護理和其他成本約要2,395元，預計手術會在本月底進行，之後還要至少兩星期時間復元，才可接受其他人收養。公眾欲幫助「火雞」或SPCA本拿比分處的其他動物，可登入SPCA網頁visit spca.bc.ca/medicalemergency，或前往位於Norland Avenue 3202號的SPCA分處地點，或致電604-291-7201查詢。
