Bitcoin wallet operator Coinbase announced January 26, 2015 it opened the first regulated US exchange for the alternative currency. The opening could provide a boost to the cryptocurrency which has been hit hard by concerns about links to illegal activities and the collapse of a major bitcoin exchange last year. 近日美股出現調整，資金流向其他資產，其中比特幣（Bitcoin）竟然也成為避險工具，並且不斷創新高。比特幣今年持續飆升，有華爾街策略師預期，比特幣明年可再升超過40%，並於2022年升至2.5萬美元高位。
雖然比特幣今年來已累升約3.3倍，但Fundstrat Global Advisors創辦人Tom Lee預料，比特幣將在2018年中升至6000美元。根據Coindesk的報價，比特幣上周五收報4284.14美元。
改良平台增認受性
Tom Lee在發給客戶的信函中指出，比特幣期權和期貨交易獲批，可望帶動比特幣升勢，並暗示機構持有的比特幣可望在未來6至8個月增加，無疑會導致比特幣整體交易量上升；他補充，比特幣正獲得機構認同，並改良其交易平台，最終可望得到大眾廣泛使用。
Tom Lee是首位研究虛擬貨幣的華爾街策略師，上個月他曾表示，隨着虛擬貨幣侵蝕黃金需求，比特幣可能在2022年升至2.5萬美元。
