多個環保團體周五在溫哥華市中心組織集會，反對人們在黑色星期五過度消費不必要的商品。他們舉行商場快閃活動和社區服裝交換，鼓勵人們物盡其用。環保組織「反抗滅絕」（Extinction Rebellion）還在溫市中心舉行模擬葬禮，同時阻斷部分路段交通。
