美国全国广播公司(NBC)报道，白宫国家安全委员会已向总统特朗普提出一系列对付北韩的选择方案，包括刺杀金正恩及重新在南韩部署核武等。

不过，有分析家警告这样做要冒上很大政治风险。国安会的其中一项建议，是在距离首尔八十公里外的乌山空军基地部署核武。另一个方案是把金正恩置诸死地，并铲除所有负责核子和导弹项目的北韩领袖和高层官员，但分析家认为充满风险，尤其要顾及中国的反应。
